Regency Romance

I love the Romance of Jane Austin's books, it is lovely to sit in a comfy chair, cup of tea in hand and indulge in a little romantic escape.

After another tortuous visit to the dentist, having determined to replace all my amalgum fillings I needed a light hearted look at teeth:)

Dragon Fly, an Insect belonging to the order Odonata ( For my Scientist husbands benefit !)

I love Art Nouveau, this Print I designed was  inspired by that time period in Art History. Dragon flies were a wonderful inspiration for Art Nouveau artists.

My daughter, Tabitha Emma bought me a lovely vintage postal scale from Sadie Olive now I want to make a collection !!

Christmas Pudding Recipe from Mulberry Muse

My favourite part of the traditional Christmas dinner is the plum pudding with lovely homemade custard!

I am unable to eat wheat and sugar so I have adapted a recipe from "consuming passions" to suit my special dietry requirements.
I am able to tolerate spelt so that is the flour and bread I use in this recipe.
Gluten free products will work equally well.
My husband made the mixture for me and today they are boiling gently on the stove.
Simply steam them in the basin for an hour on the day of serving. They keep well refridgerated or in a cool place for months.

I love photography but rarely get the time to just have fun.

The Australian Love Pears

I have always loved the beautiful plush fairy tale ornaments from the wonderful lapomme.

Our custom regulations sadly made it difficult to purchase them,  lapomme however has now produced a gorgeous Australia customs friendly "Love Pears"

Now all I need to do is save some pocket money:)

I have been very busy redrawing some lovely old vintage images of ladies for valentines day.

I find the vintage images often have very crabby looking ladies with double chins and a 5 o'clock shadow !  I re draw them with pretty new faces and peaches and cream complexions. This can take hours of work but the result is worth it, I hope you agree!

I always love to visit Winona Cookies shop on etsy, her collages are a delight and her stories fabulous fun.

I have one of her calendars for this year so I can enjoy many of her lovely collages.
