A time for reflection

In a world of sadness with so many people in pain, with earthquakes, floods, cyclones, wars, unrest, sickness and financial crisis. It is difficult not to despair and sink into depression.

Dependence and trust in God is ever more important in daily life.

My creativity is a way of escaping much of my pain, to be creative is an incredible blessing from the most amazing awe inspiring creator and designer of the whole universe.

Saint Valentines Day

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day,  celebrated on February 14th. 

The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, St Valentine. It is traditionally a day when lovers express their love for each other with gifts of cards, flowers and chocolates. 

I think that Valentines day should be kept as a day for lovers and not extended to family, friends.
The commercialization spoils the sweet and special nature of the day.

It ought to be as it traditionally was, a special celebration for those in love.

Whilst I am not to keen on the commercial side of Valentines day and the sudden rise in the cost of flowers, the romantic and visual treasures it brings make me happy.
