Marie Antoinette Themed Shower Tea Invitations

With many requests made for custom invitations I have designed a Marie Antoinette themed High Tea notecard where party details can easily be filled in for a special event. 

Thereby giving them a lovely personal touch without too much handwriting:)

The invitations are sold in a set of four but we can happily print more if requested.

They can be used for so many different events, High Tea, Bridal Shower Tea and Tea Parties.

Events like the party below hosted by  Tea party for Alice  for our daughter's 

Bridal Shower are perfect examples.

Sweet Treats, Madeleines and Teacups

My first batch of Madeleines made this weekend and pretty teacups found at the flea market.

It was a delightful surprise to find the matching saucer to go with the 

Aynsley English bone china hand painted teacup I found at the markets few weeks ago, 

along with another lonely but lovely hand painted, artist signed  French Haviland teacup.

Marie Antoinette the Tea party Pouf hairstyle

Influenced by Marie Antoinette the Pouf hairstyle became popular with the noble 
and upper-class women in France during the18th century. 
It was delightfully creative and artistic and women literally wore their moods through 
strategically placed decorations and ornaments. Ships, animals and wonderful novelty
 items could be seen on these fabulous poufs.

Steampunk Art

Steampunk is a genre which originated during the 1980s and early 1990s. It merges all of the wonderful elements from the Victorian Era with Science fiction.

The technology includes fictional machines such as those found in the works 

of  HG Wells  and Jules Verne.

I have just completed my first piece of Steampunk art. It was commissioned as an Album cover.

I love the blend of Victorian images and fantasy.

Vintage Teacup collection

Collecting vintage china teacups is one of my passions, to find a 

gorgeous teacup at a flea market stall is such a thrill.

My most recent find is an Aynsley English bone china hand painted teacup, 

from the makers mark it appears to be dated from 1905-1925.

It is extremely delicate with a very unusual matt gold finish, quite a treasure:)

I am feeling quite sentimental and homesick for England...the British are supreme in their ability to celebrate with delightful pomp and charm. Have a wonderful Diamond Jubilee!
